Future Skills Project
The project will review CILIP’s qualifications and ensure every member gets the recognition they deserve from their employers and society for a unique suite of highly valuable, relevant and endurable skills.

New CILIP UK Structure
In July 2011 a new organisation structure came into effect. It has been created to focus on the priorities that were identified in the Defining Our Professional Future report and to deliver CILIP’s Vision and Mission.

Mission and goals
CILIP maintains, monitors and promotes standards of excellence in the creation, management, exploitation and sharing of information and knowledge resources. We enable our Members to achieve and maintain the highest professional standards in delivering an information service.

How CILIP works
Governance is concerned with practices and procedures for ensuring that CILIP is run in such a way that it achieves its objectives and meets the needs for which it was set up.

Medals and Awards
CILIP and its Special Interest Groups run a series of prestigious awards which recognise high standards and good practice. They showcase the best from the library and information community.

International Activities
CILIP is a UK-based organisation with a global dimension.  We welcome overseas members, support members in their international work and actively engage with international partners and on international issues.
