Agree with mentor that portfolio is ready to be submitted

The process

The office sends copies of your portfolio to a pair

The pair assesses portfolio individually and then discuss it

Ask for more information through an
addendum or interview

The portfolio application is officially accepted at the next Board Meeting
(we cannot guarantee which Board will make a decision on an application because of the variables described here)

The candidate is informed of the result and becomes a Chartered Member of CILIP

Reject

Application is seen by second pair

Second pair rejects

Decision to reject is approved at the next meeting of the Board

or

Second pair rejects or recommends another outcome – this is a split decision and the Portfolio is seen by all the members of the Board

All Board

the Board may reject, accept, ask for more information

the candidate will be informed of the decision ask majority of the Board
