In 2011 CILIP awarded a first-timer's grant to Sue Roe to attend the 77th IFLA General Conference and Assembly. Sue Roe is the Children's Services Librarian at Wirral Libraries.
The conference took place in San Juan, Puerto Rico between 13 and 18 August 2011. Sue found the conference: "fascinating, thought-provoking, lively". She took a place on the Libraries for Children and Young Adults Section Standing Committee and gave those meetings and sessions priority.
Sue's report introduces us to the theme and tracks of the conference and reports on the sessions she attended.
