Biography

Carol has a wide range of experience in having worked in the public sector and the Territorial Army for over 30 years.  Her current post is as Operations Manager (South) for Derbyshire County Council.  Carol has been involved in and leading on projects within the public sector for many years.

Currently Carol is the Chair of the Personnel, Education and Training Group of CILIP and heads up the National Mentor Support Network. The work of PTEG is accredited with the CILIP Seal of Recognition.

Carol has worked consistently in various roles in CILIP and its groups and Branches including being President of the Association of Assistant Librarians.  She has a passion for CPD and has always worked to ensure that everyone can be a part of the profession particularly through the mentoring process.

On the project board Carol desires to ensure everyone, both members and other workers in the LIS field, can express their views and take part in developing the Institute.

A Fellow of CILIP since 2005 Carol was also awarded an Honorary Fellowship in 2007 for services to CPD.
