Biography

Dr Katie Fraser recently moved from academia into academic librarianship and is currently undertaking Chartership. Her PhD, funded by the University of Nottingham's Learning Sciences Research Institute, was a three-year investigation of children's use of technologies for homework, collaborating with schools and families, and she has worked on projects funded by the Higher Education Academy and Department for Education and Skills. Katie joined CILIP in 2007 and acted as New Professionals Representative on the CILIP Yorkshire and Humberside CDG 2008-09. She brings experience of a range of research methods to the project, alongside knowledge of emerging technologies, and enthusiasm for ensuring CILIP reflects the range of new and seasoned information professionals it represents.
