  • Visit to Bernard Quaritch Ltd

    Bernard Quaritch Ltd. ( have been dealing in rare books and manuscripts since 1847. This visit will provide a fascinating insight into the rare book trade. We will discover the company's history and the range of services offered, meet staff and view highlights from the archive as well as current stock.

    Wine, soft drinks and nibbles will be provided.

    This event is fully booked however the Committee hope to organise another visit early next year.

  • The British Library Ventures Off the Map

    Wednesday, 11 November 2015 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

    The Off The Map competition is an annual collaboration between the British Library and GameCity, a videogame cultural hub and festival run with Nottingham Trent University. Off the Map challenges UK higher education students to create videogames inspired by the British Library’s digital collections. For 2015 the "Alice's Adventures Off the Map" competition, accompanies the Library's forthcoming exhibition, which celebrates Alice in Wonderland’s 150th birthday.
