Recruitment to Professional Development Group

The CILIP Professional Development Groupis looking for new members. If you have an interest in CPD why don't you have a look at the different ways you can get involved with developing the national offer to CILIP members.

The focus of the group is to develop varied and flexible CPD opportunities for all CILIP members throughout their careers. There are working groups looking at:

  • Leadership/management
  • Employability
  • Generic/key skills
  • New Professionals

There are three levels of membership for this group as the current members are aware there will be CILIP members out there who have a lot to offer in this area but will be unable to commit to attending meetings or sitting on working groups:

  • The core forum of members who attend meetings, agree the direction of this group and set up the working parties
  • Working members who will be involved in project teams on a ‘task and finish’ basis
  • Corresponding members, including individuals and training networks, who will be added to an email list to kept informed of key developments and invited to contribute their feedback and input.

We are interested in hearing from all types of sectors and services. We do have a number of members from public libraries and the academic sector so would be particularly interested from enquiries from other sectors but everyone is welcome.

If you would like to join then please email the Chair who will then contact you to find out what level of membership is suitable for you and what your main interests in this area are. You will also be added to the email list for this group.
