The Health Strategy Group is a joint body of CILIP and SCONUL (Society of College, National and University Libraries). It was established in 2006 building on the agendas of two similar groups operating separately in CILIP and SCONUL. Its particular focus is the interface between higher education and research libraries, and the NHS.
Its representation includes representatives from CILIP, SCONUL, the NHS/HE Forum and the National Library of Health.
During 2008 the Group is reviewing both its remit and membership with a view to addressing strategic issues relating to all libraries contributing to healthcare in England. It also seeks to have contacts in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
