The CILIP Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medals are the UK's oldest and most prestigious children's book Awards.
The Medals are awarded annually and judged by a panel of expert children's and young people's librarians.
A shadowing scheme for school and public library reading groups accompanies the awards.
