ImaginAsian

When it comes to design and graphics, it is measure of professionalism that five organisations can come together with a prefect result. This is just what happened with The ImaginAsian project.

The publicity benefits from a clear brand that reflects the culture through typography, copy writing and appropriate graphics. All this is the result of a partnership between Brent, Harrow, Hillingdon and Leicester City Libraries and Book Communications.

The entry gave evidence that the project was co-ordinated and planned to exploit extensive resources to the full. Besides the high quality leaflets and posters, a range of printed media was designed to enable local libraries to customize publicity for the local community.

This project stood out amongst the entries in Category 3 and therefore is the worthy winner.

The Bill Naughton Archive

Size, format and a quality of presentation suitable for the audience are important in the design of printed material - Bolton have taken these factors into account when publishing a booklet to promote The Bill Naughton Archive.

Bolton are commended for clear typography and layout and for good reproduction of posters photographs, and excerpts from original writings.

The evidence of the popularity of the guide and the archive itself is recorded in the extensive press coverage.
