Starting out as a Library Assistant in 1965, Greta is now a Library Manager who sees her work as not just a job but a way of life. She has a proven ability to build and develop relationships which involve the whole community in the library service. Greta recognizes the value of personal advocacy and word of mouth in promoting the service. Her contacts with the community are endless, they include The Family History Group, the Readers’ Circle, The Tate (St Ives), the Archive study Centre, Friends of the Library, and the list goes on…
The proposal demonstrates the way in which her enthusiasm shines through everything she does. This special quality is recognized in the library and information world by the presentation of the Tom Farries Award for Personal PR Achievement.
