Talis and CILIP team up to Re-imagine the Library
CILIP has linked with Talis to present a new Executive Briefing titled Re-imagining the Library. It will be presented in London on 15 March, and focus on perceptions of libraries and information resources in the 21st century and the future for information professionals.
Presentations by expert speakers will include a number of case studies and the programme includes opportunities for discussion. It will explore fundamental questions many information professionals are seeking to address about change, user perceptions, and how libraries are innovating as they provide services in both the physical sense and on the Internet.
Speakers include Bruce Royan, CEO, Concurrent Computing; David Tebbutt, Journalist and Communications Skills Trainer; Les Watson, Freelance Educational Adviser, previously Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Information Services), Glasgow Caledonian University and Tim Hodson, Stock Officer (Talis), Herefordshire Library and Information Service.
Also presenting are: Dave Pattern, Library Systems Manager, University of Huddersfield; Antony Brewerton, Head of Academic Support Subject, University of Warwick and Andy Latham and Richard Wallis of Talis.
The Briefing is aimed at public, academic and corporate librarians keen to debate with independent experts. Together Talis and CILIP have pooled their expertise to develop and deliver a cutting-edge event.
