Having read English at the University of London (Royal Holloway College), Kathryn gained experience in scientific scholarly publishing at The Metals Society (now the Institute of Materials), where her role encompassed both editorial and production work.
Kathryn joined Library Association Publishing as Production Editor in 1985, subsequently becoming Production Manager. She is now responsible for the physical production aspects of all Facet Publishing books. Her role includes text and cover design, scheduling, print buying, management of typesetting and quality control. She is the Editor of the CILIP Yearbook, having edited The Library Association Yearbook from 1991. She has responsibility for project-managing Facet’s new flagship product The New Walford: Guide to Reference Resources.
Kathryn is a Member of the Institute of Paper, Printing and Publishing.
