About us
Welcome to the web pages of CILIP East Midlands. We serve library and information professionals living and/or working in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire. We also cover the non-metropolitan districts of Derby, Leicester, Nottingham and Rutland. Interest in our activities from the wider library and information services community is welcomed.
Committee members represent academic, public, health and special libraries across the East Midlands. New committee members are always welcome.
Mission Statement
Working across the region, the East Midlands Branch of CILIP aims to:
- Promote the library and information profession
- Act as a forum for professional communication
- Promote and actively support Continuous Professional Development
- Encourage networking between library and information service colleagues in all sectors
