Developing Public Libraries: National Strategies in Europe

This international seminar has been organised by a joint committee of representatives of CILIP SE and London Branches, the LLDA, and the librarians of the French, German, Spanish and Italian Institutes. Top level speakers from MLA in the UK, and government departments in the European countries will give presentations on their respective countries' national public library policies, their role in planning the future of libraries, and how they relate to the UK situation in an important international comparative seminar. Directors and senior library managers are invited to attend. The fee is £60 and includes lunch and refreshments.
