The impact of information services in the voluntary sector

The voluntary sector is noted for its diversity; it also has many unique features. In her talk Christine will draw upon her international experience within the voluntary sector of providing information services on both substance misuse and childcare to explore the impact of information work on volunteers.

Christine Goodair is Head of Website & Information Services at DrugScope. She has spent many years managing information services in the voluntary sector and is currently chair of the European Association of Libraries and Information Services on Alcohol and other Drugs as well as being secretary of Substance Abuse Librarians and Information Specialists. Christine is involved in an EU project to create an internet gateway to quality information on alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.

CILIP in London evening meetings are free and open to all with a professional interest in the topic. Refreshments will be available afterwards.
