Groups, Organisations in Liaison and other relevant professional organisations are invited to submit details of their event to the CILIP events calendar. To do this, any Group representative can enter event details into the form.

A seminar with Professor Charles Oppenheim. Professor Oppenheim is a well known authority on copyright having written widely on the subject, and acted as an advisory capacity to a number of organisations including JISC, the House of Lords and the European Commission.
Professor Oppenheim has requested that you send in your questions on Copyright before the event, so that he might direct the workshop more effectively.

NoWAL Events

The NoWAL (North West Academic Libraries) training programme for 2008 is now available at http://www.nowal.ac.uk/general_programme.php

The NoWAL programme of staff training and development offers extensive opportunities for
professional and personal development. The main aim of the programme is to support and
develop the abilities required of library and related staff to deliver existing and future
services to users.

In addition to events the programme includes many of the courses traditionally
associated with NoWAL including the 3 part Moving into Management course, Presentation
Skills and Assertive Communication.
