BBODel: the BBOD Electronic Library
BBODel Directory
Welcome to the BBOD Electronic Library homepage
The BBOD Electronic Library is a service specifically targeted at branch members to inform them about local resources in the library and information subject area.
If your library is in the BBOD area and you think you have a LIS collection that could be made accessible to librarians in the region and you would like to be included in BBODel, please contact:
BBOD@post.com
An audit form is available on request for you to print out, fill in and return to us. We will contact you to talk about your library's entry on the homepage.
When using the service, please remember that not all libraries have their complete collections available on their online catalogue, so if the library close to you doesn't appear to have what you are looking for, it might be worth giving the contact person a ring, just in case.
This information gateway to staff collections of books, serials and training packages in the major library services within the Branch area has been made possible by a grant from CILIP. The former Library Association Bliss collection is now housed at the British Library in the Humanities II Reading Room. All CILIP members may obtain a BL readers' ticket by taking their CILIP membership card and two passport sized photos to the admissions office in the foyer of the new British Library. Nothing may be borrowed from the collection now. The collection is catalogued on the British Library's Portico system.
New services will soon be made available via CILIP's information service.
