The Libraries All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) is made up of MPs and Lords from across the political spectrum. It provides information and opportunities for debate and promotes and discusses the wider information and knowledge sector including the impact of technology, skills and professional standards.

Reinvigorating our libraries

On 14 January 2015 the Libraries APPG hosted a panel debate event to examine the Sieghart Independent Library Report for England. Jointly commissioned bythe Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the Department for Communities and Local Government, the report was published on 18 December 2014.
