CIG visit to RUSI Library of Military History

Monday 13th November - 2:00pm to 4:00pm

The Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), founded in 1831 by the Duke of Wellington, is “an independent think tank engaged in cutting edge defence and security research”. The Library, open to members and non-members alike, offers access to not only the library’s own collection of rare books, monographs, maps, journals and magazines but also the Archive’s collection of photographs, cuttings books, diaries, newspapers, documents and manuscripts relating to the Institute.

The visit will be hosted by the Librarian, Jacqui Grainger, and will include an introduction to the work of the library, its current efforts to add all library and archive holdings to the catalogue, and a tour.

Please note: a part of the tour is only accessible via a flight of stairs.

The visit is free however numbers are limited to 20 places and priority booking will be given to CIG members.
