CILIP Survey on Police, Surveillance and Libraries
CILIP received a number of reports concerning increased police or other security agency activity with regards to libraries and their users. We sent out a short survey to heads of library services in in 2008 to establish whether there were any issues causing concern to librarians regarding user privacy, censorship and freedom of access to information.
