How to get involved

With your help our advocacy work can achieve more. Find out how you can get involved in CILIP's advocacy work on school libraries and schools' library services.

Do something NOW!

Find campaigning resources including ideas for activities and letter templates on the SHOUT ABOUT School Libraries Campaign page.

Tweet about why school libraries are important using the #SHOUTABOUT hashtag and/or leave a message on the CILIP Facebook page.

Getting more involved

Contact your local MP and tell them about your local school library and/or school library service and our SHOUT ABOUT campaign.

As a member of CILIP

Get involved in one of CILIP's special interest groups - attend events and training, meetings and take part in discussions. Or if you want more influence, why not contact a group and ask about joining their committee?

Using CILIP Communities

Why not tell us what you think by commenting on school library-related postings on our blogs and forums? And you could respond to calls for information and involvement in advocacy activities from us or from your branch or group.

Contribute to consultation responses

CILIP responds to government consultations relevant to school libraries and school library services. We also welcome comments from CILIP members.
