SMALL GRANTS FUND TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Rules for applications for funding for the Small Grants Fund from CILIP East of England Branch 2012
1 - In the year 2012, no one application from an individual can exceed the amount of £200. A limit on bids from organisations will be decided by the
East of England branch committee, depending on the size and merits of the bid and funding available.
2 - Applications for funding from individuals will only be accepted if the individual is a member of CILIP and a member of the East of England Branch
(please contact the Treasurer for more details).
3 - Applications will be considered from groups not directly connected to CILIP if the event or project is related in some way to library and
information services in the East of England area. The East of England area covers the geographical counties of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
4 - Applications may be turned down where it is felt that the funding should come from other sources.
5 - Retrospective applications will not be considered.
6 - One acceptance for funding per event or training course per year will be considered.
7 - If a grant to an individual is made, certain conditions may apply: e.g. if the individual is attending a training course they could be asked to
provide copy for Sunrise, the branch journal, in return for funding.
8 - The Small Grants Fund does not cover applications for ongoing tuition fees for students on LIS courses. Please contact the Treasurer for more information.
9 – The Small Grants Fund only covers the cost of the training event. Travel and expense allowances are not covered.
10 - All applications will be considered by the East of England committee of CILIP at their committee meetings. The decision of the panel is final
11 - One application per person or group per calendar year.
