CILIP North West Branch Applications for Funding

 

CILIP North West Branch will make funding available each year to assist members in attending CPD opportunities. This could be funding to attend a course, fund a visit, or a conference.

The Branch will fund up to £50 towards attendance at a CPD event each quarter, up to a total of £200 per calendar year. The quarters will apply as follows:

1st January – 31st March
1st April – 30th June
1st July – 30th September
1st October – 31st December

Applications should be received during the quarter, but may be for events at a later date in the year. This will allow for applicants to apply for any “early bird” discounts that may be applicable to the course.

Successful applicants will be asked to write an article for the North West Newsletter, and may be asked to present a short report at an event if they are able to.

Applicants should apply using the form available below, to Michelle Peel, the Treasurer of North West Branch. The Treasurer will make the final decision on whether to grant funding, and may discuss the application with the Branch Committee for their views.

The applicant must demonstrate why they feel the opportunity would further their Library and Information career fully in the form. They may be asked to provide further evidence on request.
