'Starting an archive' AGM & Half Term School Visit to Whitgift School
The focus of the morning session will be on school archives including how to start and develop an archive using existing resources, together with the benefits and importance of having an archive. There will be an opportunity to see how Whitgift have made their archive accessible by bringing it into the library with displays about the history of the schoool plus some local history.
Morning Session
During the morning there will be talks by:
Rita Boswell, Chair of the School Archivist Group and William Wood, School Archivist at Whitgift School
Afternoon Session
During the afternoon author Dee Shulman will talk about her new book 'Fever'to be publised in April under the new Puffin imprint'Razorbill'
She will give delegates an insight into how she researches her books.
