Please be advised that we will communicate with you by e-mail in all instances unless you indicate otherwise.
If you book and then fail to attend the event without informing us in advance you will be charged the full fee. If you let us know that you cannot attend less than one week in advance and we are not able to fill your place then you will also be charged the full fee.
The CoFHE East Midlands Circle aims to stage three to four events per year. Events are publicised via the CoFHE Jiscmail list at www.jiscmail.ac.uk.

Dealing with Difficult People: A Group Training Workshop

CoFHE East Midlands Circle Event - Roving with a Purpose: floor walking your library service
The event looked at strategies to:
· Increase user satisfaction
· Reduce problems with negative behaviour
· Assist the “hidden customer” – those may be hesitant to ask for help?
This workshop was aimed at libraries who want to develop proactive services. It provided practical ideas and examples to help progress roving within a service.

CoFHE East Midlands Circle Event - Building for the Future: exploring library building and design issues
Many FE/HE colleges are currently undertaking or are about to undertake re-building and/or re-furbishing programmes. Many learning resources centres and libraries are being re-designed as a result. This half day event offered an opportunity to tour the new Learning Centre/Library at the University of Derby’s Buxton campus and participate in a workshop session to share experiences and good practice in library building and design.
The event was combined with the CoFHE East Midlands Circle AGM.
