ARLG Mission
The Academic and Research Libraries Group aims to provide a focal point for engagement with professional issues of interest to information professionals working in further education, higher education and research libraries. Through the work of the national committee and our regional structure the Academic and Research Libraries Group aims to offer something for all our members, and at all stages of their career. As a CILIP group we represent the sectors and aim to shape all levels of academic libraries of the future. This will be achieved by influencing national policy through working closely with CILIP and providing an expert voice for the sectors.
ARLG Values

- a commitment to communicate national and regional issues of interest to the sectors
- dedication to provide fora for information professionals to network at regional and national levels with colleagues from a variety of career stages
- a commitment to promote the sectors to new professionals and employers and act as advocates for the profession as a whole.
