Honorary Officer Nomination Form

If there is only one nominee for a post, that person shall be declared elected.  If more than one nomination for the same post is received, there is the possibility of role-sharing. In case of several nominations, or in roles where sharing may not be practical, a public election will be held.  The candidate with the highest number of votes shall be elected.

Equal Opportunities Policy

As part of its Equal Opportunities policy, the Career Development Group welcomes nominations from all members, and in particular from currently under-represented groups such as members from diverse ethnic backgrounds.  We will respect and affirm diversity of all kinds and will challenge and confront discrimination and prejudice.

The Career Development Group National Council agreed to discontinue with the presidential team this year and replace it with the roles of Chair and Vice Chair.

The change acknowledged the difficulties we have experienced in the last couple of years in recruiting to the presidential team. In these more challenging times it is becoming increasingly difficult for individuals to give a 3 year commitment to the group (serving as Vice President, President and Past President).

We are also conscious of the need to reduce the running costs of the group which inevitably results in fewer national officer posts. With this in mind we have decided to continue this for another year, with a view to this becoming a permanent feature.

Please feel free to e-mail the current National Councillors for more information about their posts
