How to enter
This page will give you information on how to enter for the Diversity Award 2010. The CILIP Diversity Group wants to celebrate diversity with in the library and information sector.
Entries for the 2010 Award are now closed. The winner was announced at the Diversity Group conference on 14 June 2010.
Diversity Award 2010
The deadline for entries is Friday 30 April 2010. The Award will be awarded at the Diversity Group conference on Monday 14 June 2010 in CILIP, London.
Criteria and judging
When you are submitting your entry please check that the person or team you are nominating meets the criteria and then complete the entry form.
- This Award is open to any individual or team, working in the library and information profession, in whatever sector.
- Individuals or teams may put themselves forward but two CILIP Members must support their entry.
- CILIP Members (with the support of another Member) may also nominate individuals or teams for this Award.
- There will be a shortlist of three for this Award. The judges will decide one winner on the basis of supporting information and endorsement from the referees.

Complete an entry form and on separate sheets of paper provide the judges with the following information:
- Details of the individual’s or team’s work in promoting diversity
- Details of the impact of this work.
- Supporting evidence – e.g. endorsements, press cuttings, statistics, publicity material
Please send the original form with supporting material plus three photocopies.
