1. Articles are invited for submission to the Government Libraries Journal in a wide range of subject areas which relate to work carried out by library and information professionals in the government sector.
2. The final decision as to inclusion of material rests with the Editor of the GLG Journal.
3. Material should be submitted to the GLG Journal Editor by the copy dates published on the inside front cover of each issue and on the GLG Journal website.
4. Copy can be submitted to the Editor in plain ASCII format, MS Word format or equivalent, or in the body of an email message. Submission in electronic format is preferred but hard copy may be accepted after consultation with the Editor.
5. Articles should ideally be no longer than 1500 words in length.
6. The Editor may edit articles for content, style and word length. Every effort will be made to consult contributors about any alterations but the final decision remains with the Editor.
7. Photographs, illustrations and other graphic content are always welcome. Photographs should be of a resolution of no less than 150dpi (mono) or 300dpi (colour)
8. Minimal use of capitalisation is preferred.
9. Please spell out acronyms at their first occurrence.
10.Contributors should make sure that their text is clear and accessible to a wide audience
11.All articles should be in English.
12.Relevant supporting references to publications and web sites are encouraged. These should follow the Harvard referencing system.
13.All material published in the GLG Journal will be made available in electronic form via the GLG Journal website. Any contributors objecting to this should contact the Editor immediately.
14.All contributors submitting material to the GLG Journal are deemed to have read and accepted these guidelines
