A large part of the Panel’s work is organising study days HLG members, and it is also involved in a range of other activities aimed at improving CPD opportunities for our members.
Bishop and LeFanu Memorial lecture
The Bishop and LeFanu Memorial Lecture was established in 1968 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Section, in which W.J. Bishop played a significant role. It was decided initially that the lecture should be given annually, if possible on the occasion of the Annual General Meeting. In 2001 it was decided the lecture should be given in alternate years at the HLG Conference.
