If you live or work in the counties of Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk or Suffolk, or in the unitary authorities of Bedford, Central Bedfordshire, Luton, Peterborough, Southend or Thurrock, the East of England Information Services Group of CILIP welcomes you. Members are drawn from the full range of information professionals throughout the public, academic and special sectors. Every year we aim to organise one or more open meetings designed to appeal to the varied interests of all our members. From time to time we also run training courses in both basic and advanced reference work.

Committee meetings

Our centenarian mascot Lyttelton Bear - the cuddly face of information management The section's committee meets four times a year, usually at Bury St Edmunds Library, which is well placed for transport links within the region and justly famed for its mouth-watering apricot slices from the in-house coffee shop. We are a friendly, hard-working group, always keen to welcome new members and new ideas.

Our next committee meeting will be on Thursday 31 May 2012 at10:00 at Bury St Edmunds library.
