Welcome to the Local Studies Group of CILIP
If you work with local studies materials, then this group will be of interest to you. Our twice-yearly journal the Local Studies Librarian contains articles of interest to practitioners, whilst our regional sub-groups organise events at a local level.
We understand that it can sometimes be isolating working in local studies as there may be no other specialist colleagues to turn to for advice. All of our committee members are, or have been, practising local studies librarians so there is a wealth of advice and support available - feel free to contact any of our committee members and we'll do our best to help.
