Marketing Gold - Promoting Libraries using Data and Web Technologies

To be competitive in the high street organisations need to know and understand their customers so that they can be responsive to unarticulated needs. In the data
and borrower records that libraries already hold there are rich veins of gold — if only we knew where to look for them. As technology moves quickly there are more
and more ways in which library services can interact with their users and send targeted, relevant messages. Libraries across all sectors are looking to improve their services using any tools at their disposal. Marketing Gold — promoting libraries using data & web technologies will describe ways to mine and exploit valuable information from existing databases and technologies, that are built
on sound promotional business principles. We will explore the theme through formal presentations about data and technologies, case studies, workshops, discussion, and delegate networking.
