Awards

The University, College and Research Group aims to reward and promote excellence in professional practice. To this end, the Group sponsors three awards at national level:

• The Alison Northover Bursary for staff development. This annual award of £750 is open to individual applicants who would like financial assistance to attend a conference or other staff development activity.
  
  
• The UC&R Innovation Award is given biannually to an individual, group or team pursuing excellence in some area of learning, teaching or learner support in national or academic libraries.
  
  
• The Shelia Corrall Publication Award is an annual award to encourage library and information practitioners in the sector to who are at the start of their professional careers or who have not previously published a substantial contribution to the professional literature to write an article for publication.
