The Group is open to all members of the Chartered Institute for Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) who are interested in children's work. You can choose to join YLG as one of the two 'free' group memberships you are entitled to, or as an additional group for an extra sum per year.

Membership of the group gives you access to:

YLG Friends

This opportunity is available to all those with an interest in literature and library services for children and young people, including, but not exclusively:

  • Early Years Library Practitioners
  • Authors and illustrators
  • Publishers, Booksellers and all those involved in the book trade
  • Teachers and academic involved with the development of reading and the promotion of reading for pleasure
