CILIP is building up a pool of people prepared to stand up for libraries and librarians clearly and calmly in the heat of live debate on radio and TV. We need colleagues to come forward if they are willing and able to respond when the media call on CILIP to field someone to make the case for libraries and librarians.
Currently the media is focused on public libraries, but soon it will move to all publicly-funded library and information services, and library and information services in the corporate sector.
