CILIP Update with Gazette
CILIP Update is editorially independent of CILIP and is designed with the needs of individual members in mind. It brings members industry news, comment and debate on the big issues of the day where they impact on the library and information world.
Since the merger of Library + Information Gazette with Library and Information Update the membership magazine now also includes job vacancies within the library and information sector and provides job and careers advice and news on products, services, software and systems.

CILIP UPDATE with Gazette EDITORIAL PANEL
The editorial panel exists to communicate the views of members to the editor to ensure that members of CILIP receive relevant and high quality magazine content, which is in touch with issues of concern and relevance to the profession. The panel meets and also communicates electronically. If there are vacancies on the Panel, these are advertised in CILIP Update with Gazette and on the CILIP website.
REQUIREMENTS: CILIP member, plus requirements set out in advert but age and level of experience form no barrier. Interested members are usually required to submit a 300 word critique of a recent issue of Gazette or Update.
TRAINING: As required
SUPPORT: CILIP Update staff, Communities closed forum
TIME COMMITMENT: Regular contribution to online discussions plus
one meeting per year in London for a maximum three year term.
