Christine Goodair

Christine is the Head of Information Services at DrugScope, the
UK's leading independent centre of expertise on substance use, with
responsibility for managing the Information, Website
and Library Resources. She is the vice chair of ELISAD
(European Association of Libraries and Information Services on Alcohol
& Drugs) and a Board member of SALIS ( Substance
Abuse Librarians & Information Specialists ) an international
association with special interests in alcohol, tobacco, and other
drug information.
Abstract
Working
collaboratively, lessons from two European projects in the field
of Addictions.
This paper will explore the experiences of working
on two joint European projects, the ELISAD Gateway to Addiction Websites
and EELDA an evidence based website on cocaine, ecstasy and cannabis
Issues considered include, the environment and drivers for the projects,
funding, project management, working styles across different professions,
enhancement of skills, language and culture, benefits and barriers,
and key observations regarding how to make partnerships work .
