Biography 

Coming from public libraries and interested in social inclusion I joined MLA South East, the strategic regional agency for museums libraries and archives 2 years ago. Here I have been involved with skills for life programs, ex-offenders information and a social inclusion strategy. More recently I have been working with libraries looking at the future of Books on Prescription and Bibliotherapy.

Abstract

Connecting libraries for better health

The presentation will look at the current activity of the Museums, Libraries and Archives sector and how it is joining up with other partners to provide improved access to information and collections. Through the healthy living and well-being agendas the sector is developing and sharing resources to enhance the patient's journey to better health.
