Abstract
Seniors Health Research
Transfer Network (SHRTN): Developing a library services initiative
for long term care professionals.
This
presentation will discuss the challenges involved in developing
a web-based information service for professionals and caregivers
who work in seniors' healthcare. Key
features of the Seniors Health Research Transfer Network (SHRTN)
Library include: a library reference service staffed by library
professionals, a Web portal for access to evidence-based resources
and knowledge, a current awareness service, workshops and training
on how to find and use evidence, and a communication network service
designed to bring together health care professionals with similar
interests.
