Biography

I am Library Service Manager at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust and have a part-time library lead role with Hampshire & Isle of Wight Strategic Health Authority. I was Chair of LKDN during 2005-06. Interlibrary loans were my prime responsibility in my first NHS library job, and I have subsequently been actively involved in the health library resource sharing networks in both South West and South East England.

Abstract

The future of ILLs in the NHS in England: a case for investment and change?

A small team of librarians have jointly developed a strategic business case for interlending and document supply in the NHS. This session will describe the steps involved in producing the business case (a process new to many of us), review progress to date (including consultation feedback from library staff) and speculate on where it is all going!
