Ian Snowley
Ian Snowley
began his career in a Public Library. After 18 months with the London
Borough of Redbridge he joined the Civil Service working in the
Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and subsequently the
Department of Health. After this Ian spent six and a half
years at the Royal Society of Medicine as Director of Information
Services. In February 2006 he joined the University of London
Research Library Services as Director, Academic Services where he
is responsible for academic liaison and collection development.
He is currently President Elect (2006-7) of the Chartered Institute
of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) and Chair of the
Joint CILIP/SCONUL Health Services Group.
