Abstract
Development
of a portal: focusing on the experiences of the Information Manager
for the Stroke Portal
The
Stroke Portal within the NHS Scotland e-Library was released in
May 2005, directed at healthcare professionals working in the field
of stroke. The portal is now moving into a new phase of development
– that of a patient and public interface. Lynn Caldwell, Information
Specialist, will discuss how the portal was developed to its initial
release phase, the transition to support a public/patient interface
and the developments planned as part of the wider development of
the NHS Scotland e-Library. She will then go on to discuss the support
structure adopted for the development of the portals.
