Abstract
Enhancing the placement
learning experiences of health and social care students: the role
of library and information services
The aim of this study
is to identify difficulties experienced and the support required
by placement students in health and social care in accessing and
using library and information services. Themes emerging from focus
groups with midwifery, post-registration nursing and social work
students on placement and interviews with supporting staff will
be presented in the light of creating a tool and support networks
designed to enhance the student learning experience whilst on placement.
