Abstract
One
size fits all?
The
provision of multidisciplinary library services across organisational
boundaries.
The workshop will examine the issues arising
from the creation of a merged Health Library Service serving a number
of different organisations including NHS Trusts, Social Services Departments
and the voluntary and private sectors. Using Worcestershire
Health Libraries as a case study, various issues will be explored
including the problems of marketing your services over multiple networks,
managing complex budgets, drawing up service level agreements, and
managing change. Reporting back will include lessons learnt
from the Worcestershire experience and those of other participants,
and conclude with formulating recommendations for best practice.
