Biography

After several years in the HE / FE sector, Roshanara joined the Wigan & Bolton Health Authority in December 2001, just before the creation of PCTs, and took up her current post with the NW Health Care Libraries Unit in June 2004

Abstract

The NHS-Public Libraries Project in NW England.

The aim of the project is to turn the public libraries into additional access points for the electronic information resources which are accessible to the health & social care community, as well as to make quality health information available to patients and the public.  The presentation will give some background to the project, chart the progress made and highlight the lessons learnt.
