Abstract
Open Access
– A Librarian's Perspective
Open access
is making a noticeable impact on access to information. In 2005
many major funders of research including The Wellcome Trust, The
National Institutes for Health, and The Research Councils UK set
out their position in a number of statements. This paper will look
at access across disciplines and identify those fields where access
is opening up in line with the requirements of the funding agencies.
