Abstract: What do 14-35 year olds think of public libraries, and librarians, and what do we need to do as a consequence?

A comprehensive qualitative study involving 15 group discussions with 14-35 year olds in a range of locations across England was conducted in Autumn 2005. The primary objective of the research was to develop a full understanding and provide evidence for potential future strategies for the public library service that will result in increased usage amongst the 14-35 age group.
