Biography 

Fran has worked for LOCOG since December 05 as Cultural Programme Adviser, helping to develop the content of the Cultural Olympiad from 2008, with particular responsibility for working with the Nations and Regions across the UK . In her previous role she was Head of Regions and International at MLA and she continues to lead the MLA Development Team for 2012.  

Abstract: Breakfast Briefing Session: The 2012 Olympics - what can libraries offer?

This briefing will provide an update on the culture, ceremonies and education programme from the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG). The MLA Partnership will also launch and explain the purpose of a new Prospectus for the sector setting out the challenges and opportunities for libraries presented by the Games in 2012 and beyond.
